    Large Red Bump On Buttocks
I have had this large red bump on my right buttocks cheek for over 2 years now. It doesn't hurt and I don't notice it until I touch it. I would like it removed because I feel as if it has gotten bigger the past couple months. What do you think this could possibly be? I have ruled out a boil since I have never felt any pain from it before.

Boils don't usually hurt until they develop a head (and even then they don't always hurt)... and its possible it might not and will fade away.

I have had boils before, they usually don't take this long to form a head. Like I said there has never been any pain. I don't see it fading away any time soon.

Key is usually... a boil is basically an infection... and you can have more minor ones that never erupt like a full on boil. I've actually had a few like that over the years... as well as boils from time to time... though rarely more than one or two a year.

Actually the boils went away faster I guess because you could get the pus out..

You could always visit your doctor and have them offer an opinion after they see it.
