I'm going through the same thing. However, I have 3 mobile homes to file abandonment on. I manage a MHP, also in Kern County. I have NO rental agreement on file for the owners of the mobile homes. But, we did do the title search through HCD. I started the process of "Notice of Belief of Abandonment" giving the owners until August 31, 2013 to contact me. Well, August 8, 2013 I will have both letters that I mailed, certified return receipt, in my hands. How, I'm really confused with the next step. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Evidently someone severed your question from a previous thread. That's the way it should be, but the problem is that the previous advice is not specified. So we don't know what it is, for example, you are confused about.

So can you please provide a link to whatever you are consulting about the problem?

Even if it came back return to sender I do believe you still have to wait until Aug 31 and continue trying to locate them.

Mark, as N0help4u suggested, it appears that after August 31, you need to go back to the office which gave you the "Notice of Belief of Abandonment" form and ask them what the next step will be. Or call and ask them now, so you will be ready.
