I live in Ohio my children's father has not been in their lives he doesn't pay child support and I just want to know if its possible for my spouse the man they call daddy to adopt them? How would I go about this?

Yes its possible. The courts will require that you request the father to agree to the adoption. If he refuses, you will have to convince a court that it is in the best interest of your children.

You need an attorney to prepare the paperwork.

And, obviously, if he is reluctant to agree, by aggressively pursuing child support you might be able to make him more agreeable.

he owes over 30 thousand in child support for his other daughter from another relstionship

That probably means he knows how to beat the system or doesn't care. He may or may not agree.

That's not your concern. Make his life difficult. Ask the court to throw him in jail for contempt. Get his drivers license suspended. Get his wages garnished.

And tell him "by the way, if you will agree to an adoption, all of these problems will go away."
