    Unexplained breaking of glass
What would cause glass to break without explanation?

Within a six month period, we had a wall mirror (mirror glued onto mirror) fall to the floor and shatter, a bottle of cologne on my sons sink leaked all over the sink and my wife thought he had broken the bottle. I went into the bathroom and there was cologne all over his sink and the bottle was standing there. I realized that the cologne had 'leaked' from the bottle and as I inspected the bottle the bottom had been broken off and the neck with the cap had been broken off but if the cologne hadn't leaked out it would have seemed as if the bottle was in tact. In no way had the bottle fallen. It just broke in place.

The most remarkable event was as I was home alone, I had fallen to sleep on the couch and was awakened by a crash of glass breaking. I woke up startled sure that someone had shattered the sliding glass door behind the couch. (Oddly, the dog did not bark.) I laid there listening trying to figure out a way to get a jump on the person breaking into my house. All remained quiet. As time passed, I rose from the couch and before I put my bare feet on the floor, I realized the crashing glass sound had instead been one of three tempered glass panels on the coffee table. After inspection, it was caused by a globe from the ceiling fan/light fixture above the table which I figured had come loose and crashed down. I was puzzled that the globe seemed so much more delicate than the tempered glass yet remained in tact and the tempered glass shattered..

I returned the globe to the fixture and set it in place with a lock washer. It had been up there for about twelve years without one and the lock washer should keep it up there forever.

My wife returned and I explained what had happened. I told her she was lucky because nightly, she would move the coffee table as we watched TV and lay in that exact spot and do sit ups. I assured her that the globe was now on there permanently and she went back to her routine. A little more than a week went by, and after her sit ups, she returned the coffee table to it's position and seconds later, the globe came crashing down shattering a second tempered pane on the coffee table and once again remaining in tact.

Are these supernatural occurrences or merely strange coincidences?

    Thank you.

Coincidences my opinion, esp if there is nothing else happening.

Perhaps there is construction near by, that is causing the house to shake , that you may not notice. We had every floor tile in our apartment pop loose and come up, last month.

    No, no construction.

Construction would not explain the globe surviving a twelve foot fall from the ceiling twice yet breaking the much stronger tempered glass below.

Physics explains that. I agree with Fr_Chuck. When w movable object meets a nonmoveable the non moveable always looses. Also being a globe its very shape spreads the load much greater then a flat surface does.

Sure there can be natural explanations for what is going on... as explained above vibrations, changes in temperature, etc...

However, I personally know a situation where a spirit was causing glass to break in a home.

So, natural or supernatural, both are possible. If you are concerned a spirit is in the home I recommend you speak with a local church.

At my work I watched a 6 lb can jump up in the air about a half a foot, flip over and dive down onto the floor. Nobody was in the room. I've watched pots and pans fly off the shelves and things fall for no reason. My boss says ''there goes that Linda again.'' I joke that its my telekinetic powers.
