Hi there I was just wondering if antibiotics and other medications can effect getting your period? I was due a few days ago but have been taking ibuprofen for almost a week, as well as cefalexin sandoz an antibiotic for about 3 days. Two days ago I went to the doctor as it wasn't working to fix my throat infection x ear infection x eye infection so I have been prescribed amoxycillin and potassium clavulate (clamoxyl tablets). I've been taking these as well as eye drops that contain tobramycin another antibiotic plus dexamethasone a steroid. I was told to stop taking them after three days which was last night. My period is now 4 days late and I had all the symptoms and yesterday even had very very light bleeding but now it's 100% stopped. Could this medication affect my period?
