    Its common until they are broke in. They say 'dust' on the brakes

    Only use premium ceramic brake pads; e.g. Wagner ThermoQuiet. They may have installed semi-metallic or some other cheaper pads. Ceramics make a huge difference--totally quiet, cooler running, brake better, no dust, last longer, and easier on rotors.

    I agree with TxGreaseMonkey... Ceramic pads all the way. I have seen some places install the cheaper pads and it's not worth the problems. Among all the other benefits that were just mentioned, there also seems to be no break-in or fade with ceramics.
