Why is the water still hot?
I live in a two bedroom bungalow which is heated by a back boiler behind the fire and the water tank in the loft. This is controlled by a box on the chimney breast side by two sliding switches, one for the hot water and one for the central heating
Both switches have been in the OFF position for well over one week yet when I turn my taps on the water still goes from cold to piping hot!
Being an old age pensioner I don't know if this is normal or if there is something wrong with the system and do not want to employ a plumber until I'm sure one is required.
I would be grateful for any advice
    Thank you
