My boyfriend is a black 33 year old man, I am white older than him female. We've been seeing each other 1 1/2 yrs he says he loves me and he is the love my life. He's moody and I don't always know how to take him. His family love they say. How do I know if he's being straight up. Told him we always needed to be honest with each other.

I would worry about the moodiness! Never good

There is no way to ever know if the other person is honest or not, That is where trust comes in.

Race makes little difference, men are good or bad of any race. Age is only an issue, if it is a issue to either of you.

Are you living together ?

What is future plans, after 1 1/2 years, is there any talk about marriage ?

Do either have children from other relationship ?

Are either seeing anyone else ?

Why is he moody, for any reason ?

Do his actions match his words? Has he done anything to show he does not love you? His being black and you white has no bearing on whether he can be trusted. You either do or you don't. Just because a person is Moody it does not mean they don't love you.
Are there kids or an ex in his life? Is there trouble at work? Many things can make a person Moody.
