My panasonic 36" hdtv will not come on.
Panasonic 36" Tau hdtv 108i will act like it's coming on, but when it makes the sound like the tube is coming on, it clicks 2 or 3 times then turns off and won't come back on unless I unplug it then it does the same thing. The fuse is still good since it acts like it's coming on but stops short of having a picture come on.

HDTV's don't have a tube... nor do they have a degausser (a big electromagnet around the face of the tube right behind the front of the TV.) which is actually what you used to hear turning on a CRT device.

Flat screen TV's are either Plasma or LCD technologies... (LED tv's are really LCD tvs with an LED light source rather than electroluminescent panel)

Oh... the dinosaur. There still some of those around? those were really more of a Digital monitor rather than a real HDTV...

Unless you are a technician and have the equipment... you won't be fixing this yourself... by the time you bought schematics... and find what died... you could have bought a new Name brand 1080P LCD. LED or Plasma TV... literally. A 36" costs less than $300. And odds are it would cost far more to fix this one.
