The problem with pain, especially lumbar pain, is that there are countless causes of it. A strained or sprain muscle, pinched nerve, organ damage, infection, or skeletal issues to name a few.

You mentioned that you went to the ER. Did they give you a better diagnosis then "Not Kidney Stones"?What was their diagnosis?

I would talk to your doctor about this, he will be able to give you better advice because he has the training and can actually look and touch you.
