I am buying a moblehome from this guy .he wanted a down payment .I gave him $400 DOWN and he singed a paper stating that he got it for sale of the home we both came to a agreement on payments he then wanted more money so I told him I needed the title for more money he gave me the title for the rest of the down payment totaling $3,140.00 he printed his name in the sellers spot and didn't sing it. Now he won't let me have the trailer or give me my money back. He now has been arsteaded for robbery and will be going away for a long time 20 years I think.NOW how do igo about getting the title cleared or getting my money back

I think your best bet is to go to a notary and have them tell your situation. They are good at knowing the process.

He would not have "signed" the title to you, until you paid him in full, not just down payment.

Who was doing the loan for the balance ?

A title that is unsigned just proves he owns the trailer. And will show if there is any currrent liens on trailer. You can sue for money back, but since he is in jail, doubt you will see money.

You can hire an attorney who can try and force completion of agreement, and get title signed after you get loan and pay balance of price for trailer. Or try and get money back
