    Could this be herpes?
I recently had a small lump form inside my left labia majora. It was only painful if pressure was applied. The lump then formed into what can best be described as a blister a few days later, which was also sore to the touch. The liquid inside seemed to be gone within a day, and now it is just a hard red bump (kind of shiny, with no hair growing on it) that is less painful to the touch. There is minimal skin flaking around the sides. I have had no symptoms with this other than it being painful if pressure was applied. What on earth is this?

Without examining it, I can't tell you what it is. Please don't post a picture.

It could be an ingrown hair, it could be a water blister, it could be herpes. Only your doctor can tell you without a doubt what it is.

You can get free STD testing at the board of health and many pregnancy testing clinics.
