I am currently 20 about to be 21 and I am looking to get pregnant, I am engaged, have my own house and a great job only thing missing is an adorable little boy or girl running around but the problem is I can't get pregnant and I think it might have to do with the fact that I had an abortion at 17. Someone please help. I am really hoping that my stupidity at 17 didn't ruin my chances.

Unlikely that will prevent your getting pregnant... there is a lot of luck involved... its rarely as simple as snapping your fingers. Some people try for a few years before being successful.

Has your partner been checked? It could be him, not you. (Why do people always think it's the woman's fault? And how many women have been killed or divorced for not producing a son when it turns out the male determines the gender of a baby?)

P.S. It took me over three years to get pregnant and it turned out not to be my problem.

We have both been check for fertility.

Forget about getting pregnant. Just enjoy your relationship and have fun doing all sorts of things, in bed and out of it. A year isn't all that long, especially if you are stressing over this and it occupies your every waking moment.
