How do you consider a minor who had an LPR status through the mother who was married to a u.s citizen, and this child lived in the u.s since she was 4 yo. They took a vacation for 4 months to their home country, and returned to the u.s and lived for another 2 and a half years.but the mother took the child with her on another vacation to the same country, and never had the chance to return due to the mothers decision.does the minor take any fault in this situation? In what way can she do to return her resident in the u.s? Seeking for some good advice thank you!

The government doesn't care or differntiate on why... there are a set of regulations... and it is what it is.

The regulations are clear and defined... you MUST be here X percentage of the time.

One excuse is no different or better than another.

She is a minor, so her status depends on her mother's. They might be qualified for returning resident visa (SB-1), but more details needed.
