Description of movie scene... trying to identify title

A group of American soldiers, around 1900 or before, in tan uniforms disembark from a ship tied to a dock. It is in an area near the equator as palm trees and looks of either African or middle eastern flora. They form up and run in formation through the streets with two soldiers pulling a small light cannon with the officer in front. They stop in front of a large ornate building with guards standing out front with, I believe, swords or spears of some type. They, in formation, turn toward the building, the cannon up front and I believe the cannon then blows the door open and the troops rush in and the owner, leader, prince, or whomever, is seen sitting/reclining as the troops rush in and shoot him.
I thought it was a movie about the pirates in Tripoli, and the marines attacking, but can't find one about that event. It was in color, the trailer I saw. I don't remember when or where I saw it but believe it was on my computer over ten years ago.
Thanks
