Im really nervous to ask this guy out but I'm not the prettiest how do I make myself cuter or seem more attractive

Are you fun to be with and interesting to chat with? Look around at the mall or the grocery store and check out the couples walking together. You don't have to be pretty to get a guy's attention and keep it.

Why do you feel that you have to ask him out? You get to know him, you talk in groups and then alone, you go for a walk or sit on a bench, you have an ice cream... little 'sort of' dates first!
