    Nausea at 12 weeks
Hello, I am 12 weeks pregnant and have suffered from mild nausea from week 6 till this point but this morning after just taking my prenatal and eating an apple I had to vomit for the first time. Is this normal to start vomiting at 12 weeks? I suffer from Acid Reflux/GERD problems so I am worried and don't want to keep vomiting cause after I threw up this morning it felt like I had a lump in my throat!

vitamins too early in the morning without enough food on your stomach will make you nauseous. Try eating the apple, but also eat a piece of toast and drinking a smoothy and not before noon. I make this smoothy and got a few people off their GERD meds with it. Ice, kefir or stonyfield yogurt, a banana, fruit or berries, honey, (+1 other optional ingredient but not good for pregnant or nursing)

As an OB nurse, I recommend you take your prenatals at night so as not to suffer any side effects.

But, yes, it is normal for some women to experience nausea around this time in your pregnancy.
