I am 28. I have a ten year old daughter so its been awhile since I was pregnant last. My fiancé and I are trying to conceive. My periods are usually pretty regular and now I am ten days late, my boobs keep getting sharp pains running through them. It started in the left now they both are getting painful. I get a little nauseous all throughout the day but nothing terrible. I have been so moody.. crying one minute.. happy the next.. irritable.. soooo irritable.. help please! I think I'm going nuts. I took a test a few days ago and it was negative. Could we finally be pregnant? Or not :(

No one can tell you based on mood swings and nausea and, yes, false negative or positive are fairly common.

The usual advice is wait until you are 10 days late, test with first morning urine. You can also make an appointment for a blood test.
