1992 Honda Accord runs fine for short time starts to loose power sputter then dies as soon as you try to stop or take off again. We fixed a leak on the master cylinder and replace a motor mount it ran fine for the day. The next morning it would start but as soon as it was in gear it would die unless you kept your foot on the gas, sometimes it will work for a short time down the road around a few blocks then starts doing it again. Also replace plug wires and distributor, ready to throw in the towel any suggestions would help. Thank you,

Sounds like low idle or the air valve and throttle needs clean.

The timing may be retarded too much. Loosen the 3 distributor mounting bolts (12mm) and rotate the distributor slightly counter clockwise (CCW). If this helps the situation, use a timing light to adjust the timing to spec, remembering to jump the Service Check Connector.

Should the problem persist, remove the spark plugs and check each cylinder's compression. Record the results.
