I am looking to use a European hair dryer (220v) here in the US. I can get a 220v line run to the proper spot, but I don't know how to go from the European 2 prong plug to the typical US 220v outlet. Are there adapters?

Why spend that money? Go to Goodwill, get a 120 dryer and keep the 240. Yes they do make an adapter. EU 4/4.8 mm round pins to US 240 VAC NEMA 6-15R Flat Blades
I would also be concerned about the lack of a UL listing which would be an issue if
Anyone ever got hurt...
(hmm... a 220 line next to a sink... no gfci.. )
