My nephew (14 months) is in the hospital with a broken collarbone and broken ribs My brothers baby mother claim she don't know what happen. Or how it happen she claims it could have happened with us. (it didnt). Then she says it happened 12-13 days ago , where she came up with that number I don't know. But she just took him to the ER tonight. . She claims she didn't know that he was injured because he never cried . And when he did she thought he was teething . Wouldn't a baby bruise and swelled up shortly after?

If the injuries are suspicious, CPS will be contacted. Broken ribs and collarbone and no idea how they happened sounds odd.

A broken collarbone and ribs, and no crying for almost 2 weeks? Not possible. I've bruised my ribs (just bruised, not broken) a few times, and the pain was excruciating. I would think that a broken collarbone left for 2 weeks would become infected.

In other words, the timeline is bull. But, it's really up to CPS to determine how this happened, and if the baby is in danger. If you fear for this child, you can call CPS, and you can also give a statement to them about what you've witnessed (not what you think happened, but what you've seen happen).
