Changed the overload kit and still not working. Both sides not cooling or freezing. Evaporator coil not cooling but the fans are working. Seek your help here. Thanks. Barry

I have a feeling that you know more than I do. Our 11 year old maytag side by side acted up last week with high temps in the fridge side during the hottest spell we have had this summer. We were lucky (so far) that jacking up the thermostat (0 to 9 dial) for fridge and then many trial and error adjustments have been keeping it in the 36 to 40 deg range.

Try cleaning the coils under the unit first. Usually, it's because you neglected to clean the coils once a year with soap and water. You need to spray it down with 409, or something similar and wash off with hose nozzle. Clean the fan and the coils well. Then vacuum up with wet-vac and replace rear cover.
