I'm 15 and I want my tongue pierced, I have a low pain tolerance but I'm still a bit nervous about the pain! Should I be nervous ? Is the pain really as bad as loads of people make it out to be? (Btw I'm getting it pierced because I like them not because I want it for m boyfriend!) I've watched loads of YouTube videos and Ino the risks and after care I'm just afraid of the pain, If anyone can help me please do ASAP! :)

Yes, there's pain plus cracked teeth, infections, speech problems, food getting stuck around the stud and in the hole, difficulty eating certain foods, employment problems (getting hired), a social stigma.

I am sure the tongue is one of the more sensitive areas of your body. Do you have pierced ears? If you do was that painful. Probably double or triple that?

Yes I have my ears pierced and also a cartilage piercing, I didn't feel any of them!

You really want a needle stuck through your very sensitive tongue, a hunk of metal then put in the hole that is formed, and risk infections and even death afterward?

Ok, I guess death would be terrible all over a tongue piercing so I am going to think about it , thanks for your answers it really helped :)
