Immigration From Ghana to United States
Is there a document called Declaration Fee Note stating that a citizen of Ghana needs $2200.00 to leave the country. The document That I was e-mailed says that at the security check point you hand your money to a customs agent and after you pass through the security check they give the money back. The document also states that you need this money to show that you are not leaving as a slave and that you will have a good life outside of Ghana.

It's a common scam. They tell you about the money they need to leave... they also tell you they need airfare, visa's and passports... their mother/daughter/son/grandparent is sick... they come up with all sorts of things that they need money for. Most of the time they make it so that you feel like it's your idea to give it to them.

    Don't fall for it.

Complete scam. If I had a dime for every email I got from someone in Ghana, telling me their sob story and asking for money, I'd be rich. Of course, I'd be rich if I fell for every "my very rich husband died, and now I want to transfer his billions to a good person. I believe you are a good person, so I will transfer his money to you, you simply need to pay a fee to have these funds transferred".

    Got to love spam. :(

I bet I have one in my email right now. Should I post it for you?
