Looking for an old movie...
I watched this movie when I was a kid so the details are a little vague. I remember a baby being abandoned outside a house of a carpenter (I think). The carpenter decided to take the baby in and when the baby became a toddler rather than letting her run around he tied her to his work table while he worked. Then there was something like whenever she was naughty he would put her at a corner next to a book shelf. Overtime she just ended up sitting in that corner just to read. There was also something like a hot air balloon or plane? I can't really remember. I'm not even sure if this is one movie or more than one... please help?
