    Cloudy and strong smelling urine
Hi I am a 33yr old woman. For the past 5 or 6 months I have been having issues with my urine. While I have always had a small problem with incontinence, lately I get sudden urges to go and am unable to hold it in. My urine is also cloudy and has a very foul smell. I don't have any pain when I go but sometimes during intercourse my lower stomach (bladder) feels lots of pressure even when I don't have to go and even if I go before. I am not sure if my past medical history is playing any part in this but in November 2009 I had my daughter by emergency C-Section, soon after in March 2010 I had another emergency surgery after my appendix ruptured, and then almost a year to date in 2011 I had to have my gull bladder removed. PLEASE HELP!

Do you get any pains during your normal daily routine in your stomach area? Do you have any other symptoms? Do you take vitamins or vitamin B in particular?

No I don't get any other pains. I did forget to mention that I don't drink water as much as I should but that I have been making sure to do better. I don't take any vitamins at all either. Should I?

I don't drink water either. I was wondering if your problem could be from vitamins because they can have that effect. Probably would be good for you to drink water to flush your kidneys.

Yes.. I am going to make a greater effort to drink as much as I can. I've learned to pay attention to my body over the last few years! If I don't see some results in a couple of weeks I am going to make a dr appt... thankx for responding I am open to taking as much advice as I can

however for me not drink a lot of water... my urine isn't dark at all. Its actually very healthy looking. Very light and smtimes almost unnoticeable. Except first thing in the morning but even then its not dark

Having the dr tell you what it is and what it isn't is best. Then its easier to figure out what to do.

Sounds like a possible urinary tract infection.

You really need to get this checked out. Strong smelling cloudy urine can indicate many things. Without a doctor's diagnosis, we can only guess. I wouldn't wait to get this checked out, some of the possibilities could be serious without treatment.
