I have been using my Computer for some years now and have never wanted to download anything. Now that I have more time I was to learn more things to do and one of these is to download or upload articles, pages etc. which I have no idea of doing. Can you please help ?

Download means to copy some data file from a remote computer to your PC. How you download depends on what you are downloading.

Generally someone sends you a link to a file on the remote computer (usually a WEB server). You just click the link and your browser copies the file to your PC. You are usually given a choice first of what folder to download to. By default it would go to your Downloads folder.

How you use the file once downloaded depends on the type of file.
