    I have red swollen and itchy insect bite what should I do?

    Depending on the bite you could either rub it with benedryl cream, or the old fashioned way and rub some mud on it. Try not to scratch it as it will make it worse and spread the redness and the poison the insect injects into the skin while eating. Hope this helps. Also remember not to take benedryl while using the cream as you could overdose and become extra sleepy or it could counteract and not be affective.

    Itchy swollen bug bites are common this time of year.

    A product called "After bite" is pretty good. It does burn a bit when you first put it on, but it stops the itch very well. Calamine lotion is also very effective.

    Vinegar is good to quell the itch and reduce swelling, so is lemon juice.
