I would like to ask if my mother can bring us to the u.s.a ?
She's being petitioned by our grand parents
I'm 24 years old and my sister is turning 21 this sept where both unmarried but my sister have a son now a 1 month old baby and by the way were from the Philippines
My sister and me are using my fathers surname and he and my mother are not married
Please advised and sorry for my english please bear with me

She has to petition... and prepare for a long wait... up to 10 years or more is not uncommon.

I've got a number of friends that it has taken that long to bring their children here...

It depends on her current legal status, income and amount of taxes paid. Info given by you is insufficient.

Actually the petition for my mother already arived and about to be finish my mom said that she can bring us with her even though she's the only one being petitioned by our grandma but I just want to make sure that's its real
So practically my real intentions for asking help here is can she really take us with her ?

I know... a few get lucky... One of the friends is 12 years now trying to bring their adult son here... and are still trying.

Why is a one-year wait too long?

I see a problem with the sister and her baby - does she have the permission of the father to leave your Country? She'll need it to get the baby into the US.

You do not tag along on your mother's application - if your grandmother petitioned for your mother that's who would be allowed to enter - your mother.

You are adults. Find sponsors, get your own applications.

If, though, you cannot wait a year I would not bother applying.

I missed that one year wait thing... I initially read it differently... (thought they referred to the 10 year comment I made)

The chances of getting it in one year?. You probably stand a better chance of being struck by lightning, inside a cave.

Even WITH an expensive and good lawyer..

This is not a one year wait... for the Philippines, petition to bring son/daughter over 21 years of age takes up to 11 years.

Did you answer whether your sister can take her baby out of your Country?

If you have to come to the US within a year, why are you filing? You know you won't be approved within that time frame.
