Dr.zakir naik while you answering to ploygamy, you said "bible did not prohibit polygamy, but in deuteronomy 17 : 17 it is said "And he is not to have a great number of wives, for fear that his heart may be turned away; or great wealth of silver and gold.".

If you read that chapter and see that verse in context, God is telling the Israelites that a king over them should not have many wives. God is not forbidding polygamy in general.
