My Ex won't let me see my non-biological daughter
Ive taken care and been there for my daughter since the day her mother told me she was pregnant. And continued to take care of her after the paternity test. Found out she wasn't my biological daughter when she was 2 months and her mother won't let me see her after 14 months. I love her with all my heart and want to be there for her. Please help.

Have you been to court for visitation? If not, since this is not your biological child, and you have not received court ordered visitation, there is nothing you can do. Without a court order the ball is in her court to make all decisions.

Are you married to the mother? If so, then the child is presumed to be your legal child and you have rights. If not, then you have little if any rights. Especially if the bio father wants to be the legal father.

I would consult an attorney to see if you have any rights at all.

No not married to the mother, thank you guys for your help. I've just came to peace with the situation. The baby's mother has had a traumatizing childhood, which I know is a key factor in her immoral behaviors. All I can do is forgive her and move on. BTW today is my daughters 2nd birthday! Shout out, Happy Birthday Baby LOV!

So you just gave up? You did not try to go to court for visitation?

I wouldn't call it giving up. No I did not go to court. In my opinion, 'fighting' the mother of my child doesn't help the situation. I've found inner peace & appreciation for life while being the only Parent actually taking care of my daughter, while her mother wasn't really there. My intention of the path I've decided, is for the mother to see the light. To find true appreciation of what has been given to her. A beautiful daughter. I let her know that whenever she's ready to let me be there, I'll be there. Till then I know she will grow as a Mother, which is what my daughter really needs. & if it takes 16 more years to see my baby again, I'll be patient. I call her my Baby LOV because while naming her I made sure her initials spelled out LOV :)

I'm sorry, but I disagree. I can see your position, but I would have, at least, made an attempt to get a court to help.
