    Stomach problems
Whenever I drink alcohol I get this pain in my lower stomach. I'm not sure what's wrong, but one time I just had a sip of alcohol and my stomach just hurt so badly. What could be the cause of that? It's so painful it will last for about 20 to 30 minutes.

    Any other foods bother you?

You need to see a Physician. I had something similar, was told (by a Physician) not to worry because it wasn't the upper quadrant. He was wrong - it was an ulcer, and I needed surgery.

    You need to see someone.

Oh jeez I don't want an ulcer that is awful I'm sorry. I don't think other foods bother me, but I do throw up more than a the average person is supposed to and that's not due to drinking or being sick. I throw up probably 4 times a month. Which I'm pretty sure that's not normal.

Check with Dr. If they say nothing wrong get another Dr. They seem to not take ulcers serious.

Hmmmm, my doctors did -- I was immediately scheduled for an upper GI endoscopy which showed two ulcers. I was given a prescription which I took until it was determined that the ulcers had healed. I also was given dietary and lifestyle instructions.

The OP is complaining of pain in his lower stomach -- an ulcer, or maybe something else.

What will happen if I don't go in and get it checked out? I'm defiantly going to go in ,but just curious if I didn't treat it and did have an ulcer what could happen? I'm sorry you both had to go through that, must have been painful.

Actually, in my case the ulcers were new and the endoscopy wasn't painful at all. And I met some wonderful medical people!

If you ignore it, the ulcer or whatever is it will not heal on its own and may get worse/more painful, especially if you continue to consume alcohol or whatever irritates it.

With mine that 2 different doctors only touched my stomach and said I didn't have an ulcer I took care of it myself with floras/probotics, digestive enzymes and detoxes. If it isn't serious you maybe able to do that but make sure you don't need an endoscopy or anything like that. I quit doctors over 10 years ago cause they would never do more than maybe routine blood test.

And with mine the location was unusual. I have been recovered for years, but I am careful around alcohol and - of all things! - green peppers.

In my case I lived in NYC, had a roommate, we went out for dinner, I went into the bathroom, I didn't come out for a prolonged period, she went in to check and found me slumped over (apparently I had been vomiting) with splattered blood.

    To the hospital I went!

Yeah I agree most doctors don't know what they are talking about because one time I was sick for almost a whole month and they were like you have strep, and I went to another one and he said I had a sinus infection. I went to three different doctors and they all told me different things. So some aren't accurate. Another doctor told my friends mom that smoking cigarettes are helping her and I was like are you serious what kind of doctor are you? All right I will go check it out and see what they say about it because I don't want to keep feeling like this I want to enjoy things without feeling pain. Thanks for the advice.
