    Help on pump needs
We are on city water. We have a early 1900 hand dug well that is 13 feet deep. 5 1/2 feet in diameter. Currently has about 5' of water in it. We went to hook a pump up to water our lawn. What do we need?

You need a shallow well pump, piping, a foot valve, wiring, probably a pressure tank, pressure switch, knowhow to hook it up and then get free water-almost. You will spend a few hundred to get the well set up. Wayne make a shallow well package pump for $300 or so, no tank needed but you will need piping and wiring. If you do a lot of watering, you can make your investment back in a couple of years.

Wiring? We want to run an extension cord to an exterior outlet is that OK? It's a 110. What is a pressure tank? And the way package is all that included?
