I want to learn how to sing but I really need practice. I just don't know how to practice singing though. I sometimes get the singing voice but I usually don't notice it and I want to get my voice ready because I want to sing in my church. Any advice?

I will assume you are a teen or pre teen, You get your parents to arrange voice and music lessons with a private teacher. It takes a lot of work, to learn breath control, to learn to have voice come from correct use. Also learning tone and pitch control.
Beyond that you need to learn to read music, and learn all about keys music is in and rules of theory.

I don't know what that means. If it's signing in a church choir I would guess that most people haven't taken lessons, try out and either are or are not accepted.
