My 15 year old daughter has aa 4.2cm paraovarian cyst (3mo. Since detection not going away, in fact seems to be getting worst) that is causing her great discomfort. I do not want, nor does she, to be place on birth control. Can I just request that they remove the cyst?

The doctor is going to try the least invasive options before resorting to something as serious as abdominal surgery under general anesthesia.

Why would you rather her go under the knife rather than taking a medication that may cure it with little to no side effects.
