I am about to start finishing our basement and am wanting a subfloor on top of the concrete to provide a "softer" walking experience. Since the ceiling height is limited, I want to raise the floor as little as possible. Dricore subflooring looks like a good (but expensive) option. I have heard that to avoid creating holes in the concrete, appropriate glue can be used to attach treated wood to the concrete. Would it work to glue an appropriately configured matrix of 1"x2" treated lumber laid flat (found with other decking lumber) and put 4'x8' tongue & groove OSB sub-flooring on top of it?

Depending on how well the basement is moisture proof and the floor is smooth, Nu Heat has a system that has an electrical radiant mat that is directly laid down on a smooth floor, then finish floor laminate or even tile can be applied. Check Nu Heat out on the internet. Nm

The nice thing about Dricore is you don't have to worry about moisture coming through th porous comcrete. If you decide to go with AC2 wood I would not woryy about nail holes in the concrete. I'd glue and use a Remington concrete nailer to make sure nothing ever comes loose. By the time you put down all of the firring and the AC2 4x8 you will have spent about 60% the price of Dricore without the benefits.
