We recently had our Hot Water Tank replaced... We draw from a Well , the water is Hard and will leave that ever dreaded Rust Stain on the toilet bowl or bathtub if it bypasses the Water Softener.. Anyway in our quest to Lower our Hydro Consumption the Hot Water Tank is on the List as the Temp being set just a tad to High.. My Problem is after opening the access covers to the upper & lower elements there is No Temperature Dial or Slotted Screw to turn down either.. Reading the Operating Manual under Thermostat it says " Take a flat screw and turn thermostat to desired setting?

The Tank is manufactured by Giant Inc, Montreal,QC model # 152E 3F8M OH K

That's the thing, and I'm probably missing something? But at the paragraph in the Operating Manual where it says with Flat Screwdriver turn slotted screw to desired setting.. Unless another cover plate of sorts has to be removed before proceeding I don't see a slotted screw and I don't see any sort of dial to indicate which direction I'm setting the temperature too..?

Did you link over to the picture of your thermostats at the 2B figure (Page 7) Hkstroud posted? If so, you should see a pointed dial with a slot in it... that's what you turn. There should also be a temperature range... could be indicated by numbers or by letters A,B, or C, etc.

Do not forget to remove the plastic cover that covers most of these thermostats...may be your issue right there?

Be careful and shut off the electricity before proceeding to mess with this stuff, OK?

@ hkstroud & massplumber2008, Thanks , a friend who's got more Techno Savoy than I and looking from a different angle.. Like the old saying "Can't see the Forest for the Trees". Everything is tucked in so tight, after carefully moving some wires.. Behold the Dial and Flat Screw .All is Well and Temperature is turned down.. Thanks Again
