Puppy barks and growls at other dogs what do I do about it
My puppy barks and growls at other dogs she gets along with our other puppy. We live in an apartment and when she is on the patio and another dog walks by she growls and barks and when we take her out for walks or to petsmart she does the same thing but she also tries to go at them. This happens with dogs that are much bigger than her too what do I do to make her get along with other dogs we are going to enroll her in puppy class but it doesn't start for a couple weeks but we don't want to take her if she is going to act like this. She has gotten very good at going potty outside since we got her we have had a major headache first with the pottying in her crate and now the barking and growling please help us

You are taking her to the obedience class to break her of bad habits; they will have to see how she reacts around other dogs, so of course, take her. It will do her and you a lot of good.

The barking and growling usually is an attempt to get the other dog's attention. Puppies love to play with the other ones, and want to attract the other one to it. You can work at quieting them by holding your hand up in front of them and saying quiet. That will become more effective as you learn about leadership in the scheduled class.

Don't worry about the class. There will be other puppies doing the same thing. Keep a firm grip on the leash and don't let her near the other puppies. If somebody else allows their puppy to come near, step back and do not allow her enough leash to circle the other puppy and tangle the leashes. The instructor will be used to this and quickly begin teaching you how to control the dog. The kennel club here has people come the first night without the dog. Remember, the class should be about training you, not the dog.
