Toilet cisternonly filling only half way with water
Toilet seems to be getting worse! When flushed it fills with water about half way, firstly quite fast water flow then this slows to a trickle and then stops, no where near full enough for a good flush.

We are now pressing the float part to fill it a bit higher. The flush handle is also a bit loose so we tightened this, now making it difficult to flush.
Do I need to call a plumber or can we DIY it? Many thanks.

You do not need a plumber for this. Does the water level even get close the floating the float or is the float hanging in the air?

The float is in the water. Thank u for replying but I think it's sorted after hours of googling. We adjusted a screw to get the full level higher or something! Saved us calling anyone out.

Is the tank level about a half an inch below the white overflow tube? If not, then click on back and I'll give you directions on how to set the level. Back to you, Tom
