Sod dying where a tree was
I had three trees removed from my front yard a year ago in January. I planted sod in the space where they were and it was doing great all fall and early spring this year. Now the grass is largely dead and pulls out easily and it is only in the area where the trees were. I know decaying roots can pull nitorgen out of the soil, but the tree stumps were ground and a lot of the large roots removed. Is there any way to correct the soil issue since I now noticed that it look reddish where the sod was? I would like to re-plant sod because I don't have a way of watering seed everyday?

Sod has to be watered every day for at least a month or its likely to die off.

Personally.. I haven't had a lot of luck with sod either.
