    How to repair stucco
    Wall in water heater area outside broken out for new piping. 40's house - chicken wire and stucco. How do you repair this, please?

    A lot is determined by what type of stucco was used.

    The house is from the 40's. Old, big hole chicken wire, no backing paper. Existing stucco is about 1/2 inch thick. Thought I would use the new mesh and black stucco paper, then try to double up so I don't have to do three coats. Is this feasible?
