I got a Paraguard IUD put in a few weeks ago. Since then I have been bleeding off and on . Is this normal? When will it stop?

When I had my iud put in I bled off and on every once and in a while. The bleeding slowly tapered off in a couple months. I've had it for three years now and have occasional very light bleeding. Of course every woman's body is different although most women experience a decrease.

If you are concerned I'd talk to your doctor again, but I'm sure with time this will slow down if not stop completely.
