My sump has 4 holes where water pours in from the area surrounding the house. After a rainfall, I only saw that the sump is actually receiving water only from one of these 4 holes. The other 3 holes I do not see water coming in at all... Is there a problem with the draining pipes that collect and contribute the water to the sump?

Are you having a problem with water coming in from other spot on walls where pipes come in?

If no water coming in at other areas of walls then you should be fine.

Are the 4 holes connected to drainage pipes? If so, then it sure sounds like you have blockage in three of the pipe. Have you checked those pipes blockage? Back to you, Tom

I went and looked down into the sump pit with a flash lite, and looks like only one has a real drain pipe. The others are just place holders and have no drain pipe. So this leads to the actual reason I was asking this question.

There was a huge rain in my area, and I saw that there is water stagnant around a couple of the walls more than the other two. Hence my question is how would I know that the drains from these areas are working and not clogged? I realize there is just one single pipe out of which water actually comes out, but what I am trying to figure is if all the areas around the house are being drained when there is a rain.

If so is there an easy way to confirm that the water is eventually getting to the sump pump from all the 4 sides of the house?

Can't do that without being there. I don't know the nature of your soil. I don't know the slope from your house to the sump. I can tell you this, you had better use of drain pipe and put them around the other sides the other corners of the house and connect them back to the sump pump. Good luck, Tom
