Hey guys, new to the community and I was hoping I could get some help. I have a 1988 Lennox Air Conditioner and it recently broke with a broken compressor, Reliance Comfort, our ac guys, said that the part wasn't made anymore and so we'd have to replace the whole AC.

I was wondering if anyone knows a place online or otherwise where I can get a compressor for a 1988 Lennox AC model #hs18-261-8p. Here's an image of the back of the AC with info: http://i.imgur.com/WC957ox.jpg

I meant to write "AC" in the title, not AX.

If you only need a compressor, any same size R22 compressor will work. Check around with some other HVAC shops, they typically carry some spares. Looks like 1.5 tons. Consider that the unit is probably a SEER 8 or 10 and today they are minimum 13 so by replacing with a much newer unit you would end up getting a decent power usage reduction.
