    Best vacuum for pet hair
I have a cat and a golden retriever and I can't take the hair anymore! I think I need a vacuum for pet hair. Any recommendations?

I have long haired dogs and have had to replace vacuum cleaners every year or 18 months.

    I bought a
Cirrus Pet Edition and am very, very satisfied with it. The downside is that mine has needed service once a year - a tune up, cleaning, new brushes.

Dyson makes a pet hair vacuum (I think just the small one, not sure).
    All Dyson products are expensive.
I have a dog and cat and try to make sure they stay off most of the furniture by placing objects on them. Leaving the couch, basically.
You can use a damp sponge just as easily on furniture and car seats.
I have wood floors except in 2 rooms that I try to keep closed as much as possible.
Ergo: not much vacuuming at all. Lots of easy sweeping though.

My complaint is the hairs that don't wash away in the washing machine! I have to run smaller loads with more water. The glass on the door is always coated with hair.
