AC Blower Motor Runs Constantly and Smell Burned Electrical
Hello, first off I think I have a forced air heating/AC unit mounted in our hall closet.
I am having a problem with my AC blower motor running constantly. It was only off for 1 day before I tried to turn it on again and the problem occurred.

When I first turned it on the thermostat made a call but the blower motor didn't turn on like usual. I turned the thermostat off and back on. It made the call and the blower motor turned on. I walked away thinking it was fine. My wife immediately called me back the unit saying that she smelled burned electrical somewhere in the hall. I noticed the smell coming from the ac vents so I opened the hall door to the AC unit and noticed the smell was coming from there. I turned the thermostat off but the blower kept running. I ended up having to unplug the unit from the wall outlet to shut off the blower motor. Since I know very little about HVAC I looked around on the net for help. I tried testing for the 24V on the board with no success. I tested voltage at the transformer and got 120V on one side and 0V on the other side that looks like it supplies the control board with 24V (did I understand the transformer right?). I looked for the limit switch and removed it. I'm not sure of the value I should have there with the wires disconnected (guessing it should be Ohms).

    Any help is appreciated.
