    Domestic Violence Summon ticket
Me and my wife had misunderstand and heated argument in the parking lot of gas station somebody call the police after we left. Police call us in office and took our statement and gave me summons ticket. There is no physical marks of fighting but I think some guy saw me pulling her out of car which she was trying to drive because she was mad and I didn't want her to drive in that condition. She sat in back passenger seat and we left. Now we are worried that this thing will blow up and get us in serious trouble.

The police were called so they have to follow up. You both go to the hearing and state it was just a misunderstanding and everything should be dropped.

The court won't that would be up to a prosecutor. But a Summons is not like to be brought to a prosecutor.

But we can't answer for sure as it will be up to your local courts and law enforcement.

    Thanks ScottGem for you reply.

The ticket ( summons) I got from the cops said I need to go to municipal court after 1 month. Is it fine only summons or more serious than that.
Do you think it's a good idea to hire attorney for safe side. Me and my wife are very worried and don't want to take a chance.

    Thanks again..

I have no idea what the summons is or how serious it is. I suspect its not that serious. The summons should indicate what law your broke so looking up the law may help.

And yes, I would seriously consider consulting an attorney. The attorney will know more about local laws and the courts and be able to better advise on the seriousness and whether you need representation in court.
