Im replacing the shower receptacle, but the pvc drain pipe is stuck in with lead.
I need to replace my shower receptacle, but the black pvc pipe is stuck in place with what appears to be lead. I'm not sure how to get it out without ruining the pipe. I do not have access from below or behind. The receptacle sits on a concrete slab, and I'm able to lift it slightly, but not enough to see below. What is the best way to get this out for my new shower?

You can try drilling the lead out using a drill and drill bit, or you can cut a 6" circle in the shower receptacle around the pipe... deal with the pipe after the shower receptacle is removed... ;)
