Why will a doctor not induce at 38 weeks if there have been many complications
I am very concerned about the health of my baby. Why will a doctor not induce at 38 weeks if there have been many complications with pregnancy, they want the baby to come natural. I live 40 minutes away from hospital and this is my third and labor is usually only 5 hours and I am a wreck. I have had two breast surgeries during pregnancy due to a bacterial infection and now I have Strep B. I am worried that if the baby comes because this is my third without benefit of antibiotics there may be more complications and the baby is at risk. I have an inverted uterus, I am at 100% effaced, 2.5 cm, the baby is at "0" and lost my mucous plug two weeks ago. Went into pre-mature labor three times during pregnancy and it was stopped and now she is of enough weight to come. I am in a quandary... please help

The person to ask this is the Physician who has made a decision based on your medical history, not strangers on the Internet.

If you do not trust your Doctor, get a second opinion.
