I know it sounds stupid, but what button on remote should I press, to turn the television to video mode? It's a Samsung flatscreen, can give the model nr if nesesary. Can anyone help?

Look for a buttom called SOURCE... that will pop a menue on the screeen where you use the up and down arrow keys to select the correct input... then hit enter.

THere are a number of inputs so you need to know which one your DVD is plugged into.
